François-Philippe Champagne - Minister of Finance and National Revenue

A person in a suit smilingAI-generated content may be incorrect.The Honourable François-Philippe Champagne was first elected to the House of Commons in 2015 as the Member of Parliament for Saint-Maurice-Champlain and has served in several senior federal cabinet roles. He was appointed Minister of Finance and National Revenue in 2025.
 
Before entering public life, Minister Champagne built an international career as a lawyer and business executive, holding senior positions at ABB Group and Amec Foster Wheeler, where he worked in global strategy, ethics, and legal affairs. In 2009, he was recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
 
In government, he has previously served as Minister of International Trade, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry. Across these roles, he has championed Canadian competitiveness, major economic and infrastructure initiatives, and international cooperation.
 
Minister Champagne holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Université de Montréal and a Master of Laws from Case Western Reserve University. Born in Greenfield Park and raised in Shawinigan, he brings both global experience and strong local roots to his work in public service.
